Dr. Lisa is a Naturopathic Physician who specializes in allergies, anxiety, digestive health, hormone balance, migraines, insomnia and other chronic complex conditions. Dr Lisa left her hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah for Seattle in 1989 to study engineering at the University of Washington. With less than a year to complete her engineering degree she took a Biology course and realized the poetry of Biology and Chemistry were more alluring then calculating Kirchoff’s circuits. She completed her B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology and a research fellowship in Neuroendocrinology at the UW, after which she realized that she wanted to pursue research that didn’t include the use of radioactive materials for assaying rat brains. This led her to study Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University, where she was introduced to the modalities of Craniosacral therapy, Constitutional Homeopathy and the love of interacting with patients instead of lab animals.
As a student at Bastyr, she led a group of students and doctors to India for a Clinical Pilot Study on the efficacy of Craniosacral Therapy for Post Traumatic Stress in refugees and victims of torture in 2006.
She has additional training in Craniosacral Therapy, Homeopathy, NAET, a non-invasive Allergy Elimination Technique, Neurolinguistic Programming and Transpersonal Hypnotherapy. She loves helping patients do healing work around the issues of anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress, migraines, Allergy amelioration, hormone conditions like hypothyroidism, PCOS, menopause, infertility and unusual endocrine conditions.
